We are a professional library organization committed to the support and advancement of libraries and those interested in library service through professional development and timely communications. We do this in a number of ways: by promoting professional growth of its members, supporting innovative library services and research, encouraging cooperation among libraries, librarians, staff and supporters, keeping the public informed, and providing scholarship support to students enrolled in library and information science degree programs. Talk and Taste: Embedded Librarianship
Please join us on Thursday, October 30th at the Starbucks on Okeechobee Blvd near I-95 to discuss embedded librarianship and library trends. The discussion will start at 6:30pm, and is open to all PBCLA members.
This is our inaugural Talk and Taste event. Talk and Taste events are a way for members to share their experiences with one another, and foster an atmosphere of learning and development.
Dine Out at Howley's Fundraiser!
Come Dine Out for PBCLA on Friday, December 5th at Howley's famous restaurant in West Palm Beach! Simply mention PBCLA to your server and a portion of your check will be donated to PBCLA for future events. Hours of the event are from 7 pm - 9 pm, but please feel free to arrive early and stay late. This is a great and easy way to support for PBCLA while having fun with friends, family, and fellow library enthusiasts.
