We are a  professional library organization committed to the support and advancement of libraries and those interested in library service through professional development and timely communications. We do this in a number of ways: by promoting professional growth of its members, supporting innovative library services and research, encouraging cooperation among libraries, librarians, staff and supporters, keeping the public informed, and providing scholarship support to students enrolled in library and information science degree programs.
